Job overview and responsibilities:
We are seeking a candidate to join our engineering team in the role of Mechanical Design Engineer. This individual will play a key role in advancing the CAD drawings and designs for all our products, contributing to our efforts in thermal management and mechanical stability, and managing the purchasing of mechanical components from global suppliers. Furthermore, this position will involve collaborating on enhancing production reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
The candidate should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Moreover, the candidate should demonstrate proficiency in some (though not necessarily all) of the following areas:
- Experience in CAD tools, for example SolidWorks or Creo (we currently use Creo).
- Knowledge in 3D-printing, CNC machined parts, surface treatments and tolerance chains.
- Basic knowledge of heat management in, for example, electronic components.
- Familiarity with specifying and purchasing mechanical components.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- A keen interest in learning about integration of optical components.
